I am a Biomedical science graduate from the North-East Surrey College of Technology. Having worked in Haematology for 16 years, I have gained broad experience in areas including routine, coagulation, haematinics, microscopy, haemoglobinopathy and Blood Transfusion. In my work I have demonstrated a positive and confident manner in dealing with NHS staff and patients and I am aware of the importance of confidentiality when handling patient information. I can communicate any abnormal results with confidence to the wards, other hospitals or General Practitioners. Working in accordance with the Kingston Hospital Health and Safety Policy and the risk assessments attached to each Standard Operating Procedures was a conscious part of my daily practice. I have thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of my work so far and wish to continue in this area for both my own career satisfaction and the valued contribution I feel I can make to the team.
