Mr Chye Ng is a Consultant Hand and Peripheral Nerve Surgeon at Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust. He qualified from the University of Edinburgh as the gold medallist in 2002 and trained in orthopaedics at Mr Ng graduated from the University of Edinburgh as the gold medallist in 2002. He subsequently completed orthopaedic training in Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh and undertook subspecialist training and completed an Upper Limb Fellowship in Wrightington Hospital and a National Interface (Orthoplastic) Hand Fellowship in Manchester. Mr Chye Ng also trained in brachial plexus surgery and microsurgery at centres of excellence in Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur and Hong Kong. He also obtained postgraduate certification in hand surgery from the British Society for Surgery of the Hand and the European Board of Hand Surgery. Mr Chye Ng won the best performance award in the European hand diploma examination in 2013.Mr Ng specialises in all aspects of hand and nerve surgery and has a particular interest in the management of brachial plexus and peripheral nerve injuries, tendon injuries, sports injuries, nerve tumour and scaphoid fracture/nonunion.Mr Ng has a keen interest in research and education. He has co-authored numerous articles and book chapters and regularly presents at national and international conferences. He is the Council member of the British Society for Surgery of the Hand.
