Dr. Coufal began practicing medicine in 1998. He completed his medical school and orthopedic residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. He is a fellowship trained orthopedic traumatologist from Henry Ford and Detroit Receiving Hospitals in Michigan. Currently he is a full-time orthopedic trauma surgeon at John Muir Medical Center, the regional trauma center.
