Dr Chinedu Nwokoro, Consultant Paediatric Respiratory Medicine, currently works within the Barts Health NHS Trust at the Royal London Childrens Hospital. He is highly specialised in the treatment of paediatric respiratory pathology.Dr Nwokoro graduated from Cambridge University medical school with a Bachelors in Medicine and Surgery. He underwent specialist training in prestigious clinics across London including Great Ormond Street, St Marys, The Royal London and Cambridge. He has also been awarded a Doctorate by Barts and the London School of Medicine. He currently holds the positions of Clinical Lead for asthma, wheezing disease and chronic lung disease in premature children and Head of childrens asthma and chronic lung disease. He also heads up the NEL ICS community asthma improvement programme.Dr Nwokoro is an excellent teacher, holding the position of Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at The Blizard Institute. He actively engages in the teaching of undergraduate medical students and supervises BSc programmes, and has taught abroad in Sudan for the Egyptian and Sudanese Medical Associations. He is also the co-Director of the ‘Lung in Childhood London Paediatric Respiratory Medicine training programme.Dr Nwokoro is also an active member of the research community, with a significant publication history within his field.
