I qualified in Medicine in 1985 and completed my post graduate training in Psychiatry in London. This included post graduate research at Kings College Hospital and Institute of Psychiatry in London from where I obtained a Ph.D for my research into severe mental illness. I became a consultant and senior lecturer in 1996 and work in Adult Psychiatry.
