An experienced leader in both the NHS and private sector with a global portfolio. Midwife by qualification with ongoing NMC registration and current nominated individual and previous CQC registered manager status, extensive work in patient safety and clinical governance, and operational management. A broad experience of trouble shooting RTT related issues in the NHS alongside NHS Improvement, this significant and successful approach in RTT diagnostic recovery was requested to be shared with other senior NHS leaders at national conference. A leader with senior experience of clinical governance, including representing NHS Trust’s and organisations at inquests to share action plans and demonstrate learning following RCA investigations. Most recent roles include global director, Hospital Director in the private sector and care group Associate Director in the NHS. Strengths include clinical engagement, quality improvement, operational performance and change management. A track record of achieving and exceeding significant activity, quality improvement and cost improvement. Experience as out of hours senior manager, including A&E performance, and responsible associate director for county and trust-wide cancer performance. A commercial proven track record of increased trading, and delivering saving opportunities. An Honorary Lecturer in the school of Health Sciences at the University of Leicester, and is frequently invited throughout the year as a guest lecturer at four universities on clinical midwifery and clinical governance, regular public speaking at national conference and a past faculty member for improving human factors in airway management. National facilitator for the new patient safety framework, including compassionate leadership to enable a just culture. A key advocate and speaker for womens health in the workplace, to include menopause and fertility support. A highly reflective, authentic and empathetic leader, who as an intentional learner is currently studying part time at Warwick University business school as a scholar on the Warwick global MBA, with consistent high marks in all modules completed thus far. Passionate about supporting others to grow in their career, and about ensuring patients are at the centre of all decisions made. Academic experience of accreditation of work based level 7 (MSc) modules in industry in partnership with a university partner, Birmingham City University. Care Fertility have successfully received accreditation for their ultrasound module as part of my leadership role.
