I have worked in the pharmacy sector since 2014. Starting in boots at the healthcare counter then moving into the dispensary where I completed my NVQ level 2 in pharmacy services. To further develop my clinical knowledge I moved on to private healthcare where I trained for 2 years to be a pharmacy technician and I qualified in June 2023. I am now a level 1 chemotherapy second checker and am in the middle of the accuracy checking course which should hopefully be done early next year. I have developed a special interest in oncology and am continuing to develop my skills and responsibilities, I have been signed off as an Oncology Support Pharmacy Technician which means I can run the service without an Oncology Pharmacist on site. I am committed to delivering high quality patient care whilst also maintaining person centred care. I am organised, can communicate well, and am very proactive especially when things don’t go to plan. I am a natural leader and am a great advocate for my team. I can work well alone and prioritise my workload but also thrive when working in a team and helping us and the service succeed.
