I have extensive experience in governance, risk & compliance; nursing and operational leadership at both Trust Board and senior Clinical Directorate level. With a reputation for tenacity and attention to detail, I bring a wealth of knowledge and experience from working at a senior level within the NHS and in one of the most 'challenged' Foundation Trusts in the country, and in which I played a key role in enabling to exit “special measures”. I am passionate about ensuring that the highest standards of patient care are delivered, and through a matrix leadership approach, articulating the highest standards of corporate and clinical governance and putting in systems and processes to ensure these are met. I am hard working, a quick learner, self-motivated, loyal to my employer and colleagues, placing due importance on being a visible and credible role model. I am a confident and effective communicator, skilled in engaging and negotiating both internally with all staff groups including at Board level and externally with partner organisations, commissioners and regulators. I am able to work to tight deadlines and consistently complete all work to the expected highest standards. I am also a Specialist Governance Advisor to the CQC, having supported the CQC on twelve well led reviews.
