With over 10 years of work experience as a registered nurse and a nurse practitioner, I am passionate about advancing health research and practice in the field of nursing. Currently, I work as a nurse practitioner in Family Medicine in Hamilton, Ontario where I provide comprehensive and holistic care to patients with various acute and chronic conditions. I also work as a research assistant with the Faculty of Health Disciplines at Athabasca University, where I support the development and implementation of innovative and evidence-based clinical research projects that aim to improve nursing job satisfaction as well as to improve patient outcomes and quality of life. I have a master's degree as a primary care nurse practitioner, a certificate in critical care nursing, and currently working on a certificate in applied clinical research. Furthermore, I have multiple certifications in patient safety, research ethics, advanced and basic life support, and indigenous health. Some of my core competencies include patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment, education, advocacy, collaboration, and leadership. In addition to this, I am fluent in both English and Spanish. All in all, I am committed to lifelong learning, professional development, and interdisciplinary teamwork, and I strive to contribute to the advancement of health knowledge and practice in my field of expertise.
