Bilal is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Salford Royal University Teaching Hospital Foundation Trust. His specialist interest is the full spectrum of knee surgery from sports injuries e.g. ACL reconstruction, to joint preservation surgery e.g. HTO (high tibial osteotomy), cartilage regeneration and meniscal surgery to joint replacement surgery. He also has an interest in Orthopedic Trauma Surgery. Bilal has a keen interest in research and holds the position of Honorary Senior Lecturer at Manchester University, and also collaborates with Manchester Metropolitan and Salford Universities. He is currently the lead for research at Salford Royal Hospital, and has previously held the positions of lead for elective surgery and lead for procurement. He is also delighted to serve as the Hon. Sec. of the Northwest Orthopaedic Association.
