Graduating from sheffield Hallam university with a BSc (hons) Occupational therapy degree 2:1 degree I currently work full time at Leeds St James Hospital - working currently on the acute oncology team. Prior to this role I started my OT career working for a housing team Wakefield and District Housing. This was A housing team where I was based within the community setting offering support for service users with a range of medical conditions to facilitate independent and safe living at home. I have a key interest in the functional side of occupational therapy although I am interested in the role emerging side of occupational therapy. I have a strong interest in the development and provision of occupational therapy. I recently conducted research into the roles occupational therapists possess & what input they have with victims of domestic abuse. I also enjoy working with the elderly. I am a highly motivated, friendly and approachable professional. I build up supportive relationships with service users quickly and by doing this am able to advise and assess effectively. I have experience in a range of occupational therapy settings both in the NHS and away from the NHS.
