Dr. Kosari is board certified in foot and ankle surgery by the American Board of Foot & Ankle Surgery (ABFAS). He is a highly specialized and trained surgeon whos focus is on complex foot and ankle deformities such as symptomatic flatfoot deformity, cavus foot deformity, reconstruction of Charcot foot deformity, secondary to peripheral diabetic neuropathy, complex ankle injuries and reconstruction of failed and/or non-union of fracture repair, foot and ankle trauma from high speed car and motorcycle accidents, to industrial accidents and fall from height injuries. One of Dr. Kosari’s specialties is limb salvage and reconstruction of diabetic foot problems, such as infected foot ulcers, osteomyelitis, gangrene of the foot, cellulitis and deep necrotizing fasciitis, and many other problems that diabetic patients have with their feet. Dr. Kosari's specialized training at the world famous Hospital for Special Surgery and Cornell University, in New York, has prepared him for the most complicated foot and ankle problems. Dr. Kosari also specialises in cosmetic foot surgery. Cosmetic correction of bunion deformities, hammertoe deformities, bony bumps, Taylor’s bunion, fat pad atrophy, and cosmetic toe shortening/lengthening, to name a few. As a pioneer in the field of laser treatments in the foot and ankle, Dr. Kosari is one of very few surgeons to bring laser treatment for the notorious and stubborn toenail fungus infection. Prior to this type of treatment, only oral antifungal medication was utilized, which has severe potential liver and kidney toxicity. With over 12 years of experience, Dr. Kosari has helped thousands of people get rid of their foot and ankle pain, and has saved thousands of limbs from being amputated.
