Mr Peter Bobak’s clinical practice is focusing on treating hip and knee conditions. Mr Bobak has been involved in joint replacement surgery since 1997. Mr Bobak graduated from Semmelweis Medical University, Budapest in 1988. He began his orthopaedic training in Bradford and Leeds in 1992. His subsequent training was at Ipswich from 1993. After 4 ½ years of training he joined Wrightington Hospital as an orthopaedic registrar and started a distinctive fellowship in primary and revision hip and knee arthroplasty with Professor Mike Wroblewski in 1998. During the next 8 years, he gained vast experience at Wrightington Hospital, Centre of Excellence, birthplace of hip replacement surgery, and a tertiary referral centre in complex lower limb arthroplasty and revision surgery. Mr Bobak was appointed in Leeds as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in 2005. He also holds an Honorary Senior Lecturer position in Orthopaedics with Leeds Medical University. Mr Bobak is working as an NHS Consultant at Leeds General Infirmary and Chapel Allerton Hospital. His private practice is based at Nuffield Hospital Leeds. Mr Bobak has developed a subspecialist interest in revision surgery for infected joint replacements and reconstruction of failed joint replacements using bone allograft.
