Mr Aza Mohammed is a Consultant Urological Surgeon with more than 20 years of experience in urology and mens health. His current NHS base is Luton Dunstable University Hospital, and he has private practices at OSD Healthcare, Spire Harpenden, Cobham Clinic and One Hatfield Hospitals. Mr Mohammed specialises in general and endo-urology. He is a highly experienced surgeon in kidney stone treatment (flexible ureteroscopy and laser stone fragmentation and percutaneous nephrolithotomy), benign prostate disorders (UroLift, bipolar enucleation of prostate, TURP and Rezum) and and urological oncology. His other areas of interest include diagnostic urology (flexible cystoscopy for haematuria and transperineal prostate biopsies under local anaesthesia for suspected prostate cancer) Mr Mohammed attained the Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2007 and became a Fellow of the European Board of Urology in 2010. He went on to attain a Certificate of Completion of Training with the Joint Committee of Surgical Training in 2016. Dr Mohammed has many professional memberships including the British Association of Urological Surgeons and the American Urological Association. He is active in research with interests in erectile dysfunction, Peyronies disease and kidney stones, and he has published in many peer-reviewed scientific journals. He is also the chair of the medical advisory committee at the OSD Healthcare Hospital. In addition, Mr Mohammed is constantly involved in education for GPs and junior doctors. He has conducted multiple educational events for local GPs discussing the recent advances in urology.
