Dr Navanthi Ratnayake is a highly experienced Consultant General Adult Psychiatrist. Her extensive training and experience have made her highly skilled in assessing and managing a wide range of complex and severe mental health conditions, including treatment-resistant ones. She is passionate about delivering high-quality care that is safe, and results in positive clinical outcomes for patients. She delivers patient-centred care that has earned her numerous awards, recognising her commitment to driving high standards.Dr Ratnayake obtained her medical degree from the University of Southampton. She began her Psychiatry training with the Charing Cross core training programme and continued her education in New Zealand. In October 2013, she completed her Core Psychiatric training at Cambridge and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust, gaining membership to the Royal College of Psychiatrists. Subsequently, she completed specialist General Adult Psychiatry training at University College Londons Partners Training Scheme at Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust as well as Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust.Dr Ratnayake has a strong interest in teaching and is an experienced educational and clinical supervisor to trainees in psychiatry. She teaches medical students at University College London (UCL) and is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Psychiatry, School of Medicine, St Georges University Grenada. Additionally, she has been active in research and has various publications to her name.
