He also works as an NHS Consultant across Yorkshire and the Humber. He specialises in cosmetic and reconstructive breast surgery (including lipomodelling), tummy tucks, liposuction and body resurfacing as well as post weight loss surgery, eyelid correction and skin cancer treatment. With over 20 years experience, he is an award-winning surgeon, highly sought after for his pioneering and state-of-the-art procedures, and receives referrals for more complex patients from surgeons and colleagues both here in the UK and internationally. Having qualified as a medical Doctor in Nigeria in 1989, Mr Akali undertook post-graduate training in the UK between 1993 and 1996. He is registered with the General Medical Council and is on its Specialist Register for Plastic Surgery. He is a full member of the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS). He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh, and has a Master’s Degree from University College, London.
