Dr Rayen is a Consultant in Pain Management with more than 20 years’ experience in holistically managing a wide range of chronic pain conditions including lumbar spinal pain & sciatica, thoracic spinal pain, cervical spinal pain & whiplash, shoulder pain, pelvic pain, pain after surgery & trauma, complex headaches, complex regional pain syndrome and neuropathic pain. Dr Rayen treats more than 800 new patients and performs more than 800 chronic pain-relieving pain injections in a year. He performs pain relieving injections including epidural injection, facet joint injections, different nerve blocks and joint injections, both under x-ray and ultrasound. He is an expert in using ultrasound for many pain-relieving injections and one of the first to introduce ultrasound guided injections in chronic pain and anaesthesia in Birmingham, UK.
