Dr. Ashley Katsikos graduated with honors from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. She then attended the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, where she graduated Cum Laude with her Doctorate in Optometry. She completed her residency in Ocular Disease and Low Vision at the esteemed UC Berkeley School of Optometry. Dr. Katsikos is glaucoma certified and certified in prescribing therapeutic pharmaceutical agents for the treatment and management of a full spectrum of ocular disease. She specializes in diagnosis and management of ocular disease, low vision, and is very experienced in the treatment and management of Dry Eye Syndrome. She completed a 9-month long internship at the prestigious Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, Florida as an assistant research coordinator of a clinical research project that studied Dry Eye Syndrome in a veteran population. Dr. Katsikos is also experienced with fitting a full spectrum of soft contact lenses, including spherical, toric, monovision, and multifocal. She is also able to perform specialty scleral contact lens fittings for patients with irregular corneal curvature. She is fluent in Japanese and is able to perform comprehensive eye exams in Japanese. In her free time, she enjoys doing home improvement projects, crafting, bike riding, hiking and playing with her dogs.
