Sometimes we feel we are stuck in a rut, unable to find the enthusiasm and motivation to take the next step. Other times things happen that throw us off track – loss, relationship troubles, stresses in the workplace, health issues, abuse, and more. It can be very difficult to find the answers and strength to move forward. We usually have these answers within us, but we struggle to find them. I provide a supportive, non-judgmental, empathic, and confidential space to work through the issues you are facing and to help you identify your answers and the path forward. I am an integrative counsellor and use techniques from person-centred, psychodynamic and cognitive behavioural therapy modalities to empower you. Events such as the loss of a loved one, problems within relationships or with our job, cultural issues, family troubles, abuse, and more are common sources of issues. Our past experiences and relationships are also very powerful factors, and they influence our current thoughts, feelings and actions. Sometimes we behave in certain ways to gain approval from others but this leaves us feeling unfulfilled within our own selves.Our issues can leave us feeling lonely, scared, and isolated and we might think that no one really understands what we are going through. A professional, empathic, non-judgemental and confidential space can very often be the thing that helps us regain our balance and the energy to move forward with confidence.
