Anthea is an Occupational Therapist passionate about working in a relational way - promoting growth and development in a deep and meaningful way. She is passionate about the privileged position of working with children and young people, enabling them to reach their maximum potential. Since graduating as an Occupational Therapist in 2007, she has specialised in working with children, young people and their families. She is committed to her clients and has been told that she ‘helps children to shine’. Anthea currently works as a consultant in specialist schools delivering training to staff and parents and also providing therapy and for the Early Years Service. She also works across Gloucestershire with children from 0-18 with complex needs, including Autism, sensory processing difficulties and trauma. Anthea focuses on play and relationship as a way of building children’s foundational systems and supporting their social/emotional, intellectual and physical development. • Specialist in the assessment and treatment of early-years and school age children with a variety of conditions including Autism, Dyspraxia, neurological conditions, pervasive developmental disorders, attention and behaviour difficulties, developmental trauma and sensory processing difficulties. • SEND Tribunal Expert for Occupational Therapy; providing expert advice, specialist reports for tribunals, maximizing and articulating expertise to explain the OT needs of the child in relation to learning, education and the school setting. • Consultant Occupational therapist in specialist schools for individuals with Autism, and complex needs providing consultancy, staff training, environmental design and individualised work, centred in a relational approach
