Sometimes life can feel riddled with anxiety. Problems may appear insurmountable, leading to lack of sleep, elevated stress levels and constant worry, or interfering with our eating and our mood. Life can then be seen as pointless and empty, making us feel depressed, sad, angry, or lacking in self-esteem and self-confidence. Other times bereavement, grief or previous trauma leave a long-lasting mark. Relationships may become difficult. All these are issues that can be worked through in Counselling. My practice is informed by the psychodynamic approach. That means examining motivations that are not always obvious. We can also consider how the past can inform the present. Sometimes, making links with things that have happened before can help us understand our current behaviour and perhaps any unhelpful or repeating patterns.Above all, I will treat you with respect and confidentiality. We will have the opportunity to navigate through your personal landscape in a safe space, directed by your pace and focused on your needs, so that you can fulfil your true potential and be the person that you want.
