I am an interventional cardiology consultant at the Trent Cardiac Centre, Nottingham City Hospital within Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust (NUH). I also have a private practice at the Spire and The Park Hospitals in Nottingham. I have an interest in complex percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) including chronic total occlusion (CTO) PCI. I am the governance lead for cardiology at NUH. I also have a passion for teaching and am heavily involved in teaching junior doctors and medical students as well as running a simulation course for allied healthcare professionals. I am also a certified advance life support (ALS) instructor. I completed a fellowship at the CK Hui Heart Centre in Edmonton, Canada in 2020 and prior to this my SpR training was completed in the East Midlands deanery, with CCT gained in August 2019 as an Interventional Cardiologist. My PhD thesis was on the role of remote ischaemic conditioning in acute MI and heart failure, undertaken at the University of Leicester.
