Working as Clinical Supervisor within Private Practice. Working with Adults within Private Practice Working within a Pilot for Kent Community Health, in providing play-based counselling for CYP across Kent - From age 4 upwards. Also providing cognitive-based counselling for CYP across Kent, from age 11 upwards. Within this role, I provide targeted, short-term counselling to school age children and young people in clinical settings across Kent. This includes risk assessing and onward referral for safeguarding, Children & Young People's Mental Health Service (CYPMHS) or to other services as required. Using my understanding of the differing Mental health needs of children, young people and adults. To provide a practical use of a range of therapeutic interventions with children, young people and adults. Including talking therapy, creative materials as well as Play-In-Therapy. The writing and submitting Child Protection/ Child in Need Referrals as well as attending Child Protection conferences as required. I believe that it is natural to need support at certain times in our lives. Especially, when there are circumstances that feel outside of your control. I work with my clients to gain control back in their own circumstances. So they are able to make decisions that will enhance their own lives and allow them to reach their full potential My work with clients focuses on developing a strong sense of self. A deeper understanding of the circumstances of their past and how that may have contributed to current patterns of behaviour. Able to see clients online and face to face.
