I have been employed at the University Hospital of Southampton Foundation NHS Trust since September 2007. I am a core member of the Respiratory Department. My specialist training in Respiratory and General Medicine took place in North West Thames Deanery rotating through the following hospitals: Imperial Hospital NHS Trust, Royal Brompton Hospital NHS Trust, Harefield Hospital, St George’s Healthcare NHS Trust, The Royal Sussex County Hospital, Ealing Hospital NHS Trust, Charing Cross Hospital NHS. I was also trained in Intensive Care Medicine (London Deanery). My subspecialty interests are: o Critical Care (Respiratory High Dependency Unit) o Lung cancer o Bronchiectasis and Pulmonary infections o Non Invasive Ventilation in Neuromuscular Disorders and chronic de-compensated lung disease o Bronchoscopy (diagnostic and interventional) I run the following services: o “Pulmonary nodule” clinic (Lead) o Lung cancer clinic (Chair of the Lung cancer Focus Group) o Non invasive Ventilation clinic I am a core member of the following committees o Chair of the Medicine Evaluation Committee, Hampshire o Chair of the Lung cancer Focus Group, University Hospital of Southampton Foundation NHS Trust o Member of the District Prescribing Committee, Hampshire o Member of the Southampton Prescribing Committee o Member of the Motor Neuron Disease Committee, University Hospital of Southampton Foundation NHS Trust o Member of the European Respiratory Society and Non Invasive Ventilation Assembly I am an advisor for the British National Formulary and NICE regarding Respiratory Medicines
