Mr Amgad Nakhla is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon based in London. He has a specialist interest in enhanced recovery and minimally invasive surgery. He extensive experience performing hip and knee replacements and arthroscopic knee surgery.After graduating in Medicine from Cairo University in 2000, he completed a Masters degree in Trauma & Orthopaedics. He obtained membership with the Royal College of Surgeons in 2006 and became a Fellow in 2008. He worked as a Clinical Lecturer at Imperial College, London for 3 years, before completing sub-speciality training in hip and knee surgery. He undertook a Fellowship at Charing Cross Hospital, followed by 2 further Fellowships at Nottingham University Hospital, gaining extensive experience in complex primary and revision hip and knee surgery.Alongside his clinical work, Mr Nakhla is actively involved in research in his sup-speciality. He has been published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and is regularly invited to present at national and international conferences.Outside of work Mr Nakhla is a keen cyclist, skier and sailor. He also enjoys spending time with his family hiking and kayaking.
