My name is Alpna Limaye, MD, and I am an assistant professor of medicine in the division of gastroenterology, hepatology & nutrition at the University of Florida and Malcom Randall VA Medical Center. I am a diplomat of the American Board of Internal Medicine with certification in internal medicine, gastroenterology, and transplant hepatology.I received my medical degree at University of Florida College of Medicine in 2004 and following graduation, I was accepted into the J. Willis Hurst Internal Medicine Residency Program at Emory University in Atlanta. Upon completion of residency, I began a gastroenterology fellowship, transplant hepatology fellowship and completed an Advanced Postgraduate Program in Clinical Investigation at the University of Florida. Thereafter, I accepted a faculty position in the division of gastroenterology, hepatology & nutrition, specializing in transplant hepatology at UF.I'm a member of the American Association for the Study of Liver Disease (AASLD), the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) and the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG).
