Mr Stirrat is a consultant orthopaedic and trauma surgeon with a speciality interest in upper limb surgery. He subsequently developed treatment at Sunderland in the fields of rheumatoid disease in the upper limb, shoulder and elbow replacement, management of nerve injury, surgery for rotator cuff disorder, instability of the shoulder and arthroscopic (keyhole) techniques.
