I have worked in various positions in pharmacy throughout my career. I started as a pre Registration pharmacist and then had a rotational Band 6 and Band 7 in the same hospital. This covered varying roles including MI and aseptics, surgical and medical wards and also admissions. I then acted up soon after gaining my Band 7 role as an 8a Aseptics, Oncology and Haematology pharmacist. This was a role I loved and learnt so much from. My next step after taking on the 8a role permanently and doing this for a few years was to move to Kent for personal reasons. I got a job as 8b Lead Medicines Management pharmacist. I did this up until the post was removed during a consultation in 2013. I then left the hospital setting in 2014 to be a full time mum until Feb 2015 when I started work at NHS111 as a telephone pharmacist. This has been a different challenge but very rewarding and enjoyable. I continue in this role and since Dec 2016 have been doing some locum work in a community pharmacy brushing up on my skills and interacting with the public face to face again.
