As a long-time teacher, I love the energy that children and teens bring to their world. When changes in the family or challenges in the child or teen’s social or academic world arise, difficult emotions and related behaviors can be a problem. No matter what age, children, teens, and even parents are always learning and need support to manage those challenges. Connecting with my clients to understand their experience and build trust is always my first step. I believe it is also important in working with children, to connect with you, the parent. You make up the foundation they need to thrive. I work to find ways to bring you into the process so we can work together on the issue that has brought them in. We always want our children to have the best chance to grow and thrive. Our modern world has created challenges for parents that we ourselves didn’t have growing up.
