Dr. Alex Thomas is a board-certified specialist in Pediatrics and Adult Allergy and Immunology. He earned his MD at Rush University Medical College and completed his Pediatrics Residency and Fellowship in Adult and Pediatric Allergy/Immunology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. The Center for Asthma and Allergy has been serving the Chicagoland area for over 30 years, founded by Dr. Dolly Thomas. Dr. Alex Thomas (her son) joined the practice 7 years ago and has enjoyed seeing patients in Chicago’s Northwest side, Wicker Park and the Northwest Suburbs. Services provided include allergen desensitization, skin testing (food allergens, environmental allergens, drugs), patch testing (chemical/cosmetic allergy), biologic therapies (Anti-IgE, Anti-IL5, Anti-IL4/IL13), graded food and drug challenges, drug desensitization, Spirometry, medication management, asthma education, immune system evaluation and more. Dr. Thomas is affiliated with Amita Saint Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center, Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, Advocate Lutheran General Hospital and Northwest Community Hospital.
