Dr. Afsar Sokhansanj completed her undergraduate and graduate work at Michigan State University, receiving her master’s degree in Biological Sciences in April, 1993. She worked as a research associate in the department of Pathology at the University of Wisconsin and also in the department of Oral Biology at the University of Missouri in Kansas City. Dr. Sokhansanj moved with her family to Dallas, Texas in August, 1996, remaining at home to raise her three sons until returning to school to study chiropractic at the Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, Texas. She obtained her doctorate degree in Chiropractic in August, 2002. Dr. Sokhansanj also teaches Anatomy and Physiology at Brookhaven Community College. In addition, Dr. Sokhansanj has presented scientific research studies at many national and international meetings.
