Dr. Amini received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at the University California Irvine. Her education continued at the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee where she obtained her Doctorate of Optometry. After relocating to San Diego, Dr. Amini worked at several optometric practices as well as a large MD/OD medical practice specializing in cataract surgery before joining American Eye Associates. Dr. Amini has specialized training in the diagnosis and management of ocular disease including glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration. She also fits contact lenses, performs diabetic eye exams and provides top notch primary eyecare for her patients. When not practicing optometry, she enjoys running, riding horses, yoga, and spending time with her two dogs.
