"Adriana M. Casanova, M.D., received internal medicine board-certification in 2005 and 2015. At Conviva West Hillsborough, she leads a team of compassionate, patient-focused primary care professionals with a commitment to medical excellence. Dr. Casanova completed a sub-specialty residency in geriatrics at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida, in June 2007 and an internal medicine specialty residency at Mt. Sinai-Cabrini Medical Center in New York, New York, June 2005. She earned her medical degree from the Ponce School of Medicine (PSM) in Ponce, Puerto Rico, in December 2001. As an undergraduate, she obtained a Bachelor of Science in biology from the University of Puerto Rico in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, in May 1997. Her academic honors include internal medicine in fourth-year rotation; primary care in fourth-year rotation; holistic medicine in fourth-year rotation; ER, OB/GYN, and radiology in fourth-year rotation; family medicine in third-year rotation; family medicine second year; graduated Magna cum laude; member of the Honor Roll 1994 to 1996; member of the Phi Alpha Phi; BBB Biology Honor Society; Golden Key Member 1993 to 1997; and Who’s Who in the University 1996. Dr. Casanova is a member of the American Medical Association, the American College of Physicians, Women in Medicine, and the American Geriatrics Society. She has also been active in the PSM Admissions Committee, 1999 to 2001, the SAPC Quality Committee, BMG Quality Committee, BMG Primary Care Collaborative Committee, and the BMG Adult Best Practice Preventative Care Subcommittee."
