Dr. Schaefer graduated from the West Virginia University School of Medicine in 2017. She completed her residency in Psychiatry, as well as a fellowship in Addiction Psychiatry, at Mount Sinai Beth Israel Hospital in New York City. She then completed an additional fellowship in Forensic Psychiatry at the prestigious Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.As a psychiatrist, Dr. Schaefer believes that a warm, welcoming, and nonjudgmental atmosphere is of utmost importance. During appointments, she has a relaxed demeanor that allows patients to feel comfortable. Dr. Schaefer enjoys working with individuals from many different backgrounds.
