I have 18 years’ experience working with children and families as Social Worker and Team Manager, predominantly within Local Authority frontline safeguarding. I have been an ISW since May 2019 undertaking a variety of expert assessments and acting as the Independent Person when complaints are being investigated at Stage 2 of the Children Act 1989 complaints procedure. I have vast experience of undertaking and supervising a variety of assessments spanning the entire journey of the child. My practice is always child centred, and evidence based. I am very competent in undertaking direct work with children of varying ages to ascertain their wishes and feelings to inform future decision making.
