I am a recent graduate from the university of Lincoln with an MBio in biomedical science. I achieved a "Merit" grade in my Masters (Equivalent of a 2:1) and also a 2:1 in my Bsc course. I have excellent lab based skills thanks to 2 lab projects conducted through my time at the university both focusing on diagnosis of infectious disease (ELISAs and PCR diagnostic development). My final years at university were significantly affected by the pandemic and I believe my ability to complete a lab project each year and obtain these grades despite the interruptions and difficulties shows determination to get tasks completed on time, adaptability, and strong work ethic. I have also recently undertaken a temporary role assisting in the rollout of the COVID-19 Pfizer vaccine, this role has allowed me to develop key clinical skill such as patient interaction, confidentiality, extreme cleanliness, stock management, and working with clinical waste. As part of this job I have completed NHS training around vaccinations, safeguarding, anaphylaxis response, and adhering to COVID restrictions within the NHS. I possess certificates to show my understanding of the training. I am open to a wide range of scientific based jobs and hope to begin my long term career within the science/medical field soon.
