Sharon Krieger, Nurse Practitioner, is Board Certified as a Psychiatric Adult Clinical Specialist and as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She graduated from the University of New Mexico with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and from the University of South Florida, Tampa with a Master’s Degree in Nursing. Ms. Krieger has also completed the course work for an ABD In Counseling Psychology, and an EDd from the University of Sarasota. She has been providing Psychiatric Care to people of all ages since 1989 in Pinellas County. Ms. Krieger is the founder and owner of Building New Horizons, Inc., a health care organization that provides comprehensive psychiatric care to people of all ages. She provides traditional Medication Management for children, adolescents and adults. She has incorporated scientifically based alternative therapies for psychiatric disorders into her practice. Ms. Krieger is very interested in helping individuals across the lifespan who are experiencing psychiatric problems such as anxiety disorders, depression, mood disorders, schizophrenia and substance abuse. Ms. Krieger was raised in a Military Family, and has lived in a variety of places in and out of The United States. Eventually, she and her husband settled in North Pinellas County in the mid-1970’s and raised their two daughters here.
