Graduated from the University of Reading in 2016, and registered as a pharmacist in 2017, I worked for Boots as a store manager and pharmacist until 2021. I currently locum in the North of England whilst studying for my Medical degree. DEGREE: From clinical trial analysis and drug pipeline investigation during my Masters Project, to drug development from compound to market, my degree has allowed me to build a range of skills perfect for a future career in community pharmacy or the pharmaceutical industry. Skills in both hospital and community dispensing, therapeutics and pharmaceutical regulation (including SOP writing) have also been developed. WORK EXPERIENCE: I have experience in both the private and public healthcare sphere. Two stints of work experience with Boots pharmacy has allowed me to develop my community pharmacy knowledge and experience, whilst hospital work experience was also gained at John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford. A period at J&J in their pharmacovigilance department gave me an insight into the pharmaceutical industry. EXTRA-CURRICULAR: Third year, I was elected to the position of pharmacy president by my peers. I was also involved in the running and organisation of departmental interviews, and was elected pharmacy course rep. My efforts resulted in me being awarded the prestigious ‘Reading School of Pharmacy award,’ for outstanding contribution to the department and other students. I am also a passionate charity fundraiser, having helped raise over £3000 for various charities, including by running the Reading half marathon for Cancer Research in 2016. I am due to run the 2018 London Marathon for Leukaemia Care.
