I am a chartered counselling psychologist having completed my training at Roehampton University in 2012. I take a relational approach to my work. I have the fundamental belief that psychological distress has its roots in our association with other people, in particular our formative relationships. Accordingly my work is informed by theorists who support this view. I consider myself to be an integrative practitioner, underpinning my practice with a blend of humanistic and psychodynamic theories. From here I am able to draw on thinking from CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), Play Therapy and various other models with a strong evidence base. I understand that the decision to seek psychological support doesn't often come easy. My aim is to welcome you to the process with kindness and compassion. From here we can explore what has brought you to therapy and what you might like to gain from the process.
