Dr. Louise O’Dowd is a Specialist in Periodontics and Restorative Dentistry at Vermilion’s primary clinic in Corstorphine, Edinburgh. Her practice at Vermilion covers various aspects of restorative dentistry, with a particular focus on periodontics, prosthodontics, and multidisciplinary management, enabling her to provide comprehensive care to patients with periodontal disease.Outside her work at Vermilion, Dr. O’Dowd serves as a Senior Clinical Lecturer and Honorary Consultant in Restorative Dentistry at the Edinburgh Dental Institute. She is actively engaged with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (RCSEd) as an Examiner for the Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery (MFDS) examination. Additionally, she plays a role in educating postgraduate Prosthodontic and Restorative Specialist Trainees, as well as undergraduate Dental Hygienists and Therapists.Dr. O’Dowd earned her dental degree from Dundee University Dental School in 2002.
